Private Custom Tokyo Tour
A fully private tour built around your group and nothing else: you tell us what you love, we design the day, and one of our English-speaking Tokyo locals guides only you. From classic east-side culture (Tsukiji, Asakusa, Skytree) to the cutting-edge west (Shibuya, Shimokitazawa, Shinjuku) — or a route nobody’s done before.

How it works
After you book, we ask about your group, your interests, and anything specific you’ve dreamed of doing in Tokyo. We draft an itinerary, refine it with you, and on the day your guide handles everything — trains, queues, ordering, reservations — so you just experience the city.
Two starting points we often build from: an east-side classic route (Tsukiji Market, Sensoji Temple in Asakusa, Tokyo Skytree) for first-timers who want depth on the historical city; or a west-side route (the Shibuya crossing, vintage-shop Shimokitazawa, Shinjuku’s alleys) for the fashionable, current side of Tokyo. Most guests end up with something in between — and that’s exactly the point.
Think of us as your Tokyo concierge: guests regularly ask us for restaurant reservations and neighborhood advice for the days before and after the tour, and we’re glad to help.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a private tour cost?
$279 (~¥45,000) for 1–6 guests, with each additional guest at $50 (~¥8,000), up to a maximum group size of 10. Meals, tickets, and transit are paid as you go.
Can you do a full day or multi-day itinerary, or just 5 hours?
Our standard private tour is 5 hours — guests consistently tell us this length leaves plenty of room in the day for other activities or places they want to explore on their own. That said, full-day and multi-day itineraries are absolutely doable. Just reach out and we’ll design something around your trip.
Can you pick us up at our hotel?
Yes — your guide can meet you at your hotel lobby anywhere reasonably central in Tokyo, or at any station or landmark you prefer.
What kinds of requests can you accommodate?
Almost anything legal and bookable: anime and game culture, knife shopping, sumo morning practice, vintage fashion, architecture, a themed day for a proposal or anniversary, kid-paced days, food deep-dives. If we can’t do something well, we’ll say so and suggest the closest great alternative.
Will Yoshi personally guide our tour?
Not necessarily — we match you with the best-fit guide from our team. Yoshi leads many private tours himself, but for some itineraries one of our other excellent guides (each with their own deep knowledge of Tokyo) is a better fit for your group, interests, or dates. You’re in good hands either way.
How far in advance should we book?
Two to four weeks ahead is comfortable — it gives us time to design the itinerary together and secure reservations. Last-minute requests are sometimes possible; message us and we’ll try.
